Ricky Stanzi Leaves Iowa Game With Injury

Iowa Michigan St FootballWhile there is still no word on the severity of the injury, Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi had to leave the Hawkeyes game after having his knee rolled up on while being sacked.  Stanzi needed help getting to the sidelines and after being looked at by the training staff for a while, he slowly limped into the locker room.

James Vanderberg came in to replace Stanzi, and the redshirt freshman threw an interception on his first pass.  Which isn’t the best sign.

It seems likely that Stanzi will not return today, and with Northwestern up 14-10 it could spell the end of Iowa’s undefeated season.
